The University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies invites you to a lecture on “The Indigenous Protest Poetry of Romaine Moreton”, by Professor Anne Brewster, which will take place at the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon, Lecture Room 2.14, on Monday, 2 December, from 2 p.m. till 3.30 p.m.
Professor Brewster is an expert on Australian indigenous literature and on whiteness studies and is the author of Literary Formations: Postcoloniality, Nationalism, Globalism (1995) and Aboriginal Women’s Autobiography (1996), among other publications. She is also a co-editor of Those who remain will always remember: an anthology of Aboriginal Writing (2000). Professor Brewster is Associate Professor of the School of English, Media and the Performing Arts at the University of New South Wales, and is currently guest professor in Australian studies at the University of Copenhagen.
