The English Summer Courses – ESC– have been devised by the University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies (ULICES/CEAUL) to provide training in a variety of English language skills for members and students of the University, as well as those active in academia, schools and the cultural world in general. With a view to improving and fully exploiting expressive, interactive and creative techniques in a range of language areas, ULICES has set up a series of intensive training courses and workshops under the title, ESCAPE.
